Canon point: About two weeks after getting wired into a shipboard computer due to legally dubious shenanigans.

History: Adam is a college student majoring in computer programming IN SPACE. That's right, he lives on Titan (one of the moons of Saturn) in the far flung reaches of the future, specifically 2562, where humanity has made significant leaps and bounds in the science of space travel and terraforming. Titan is one of the newer colonies, so its two major cities (Shangri-La and Xanadu) are still enclosed within domes while the environmental scientists work out what to do with all this methane and dense atmosphere outside.
Regarding Adam specifically, he's actually the first child that was born on Titan proper. His parents were paid to immigrate there from Mars due to their respective professions (both engineers), and he's lived there his entire life. Currently, he attends Titan's first college on a scholarship granted to him on the condition that he study subjects that will prove VITAL TO THE MAINTENANCE OF THE COLONIES.
So he's taking some environmental studies and chemistry shit on the side while he fucks around with computers. And barely passing. Nice work Adam.
Unfortunately due to being a frontier town with very limited law enforcement sitting on top of a literal ocean of fuel, Adam's hometown is a hotbed of ILLEGAL GANG ACTIVITY, mostly involving two groups jockeying over who will control the liquid methane trade while Titan's developing government is powerless to stop them. After an incident resulting in Adam and some of his classmates being mistaken for a group of experts in the chemical sciences and being kidnapped, he and his friends get way tangled up in the power struggle and due to shenanigans Adam winds up getting integrated into a shipboard computer. He's less than happy about this development.
Personality: Adam Li is a massive nerd and a terrible hipster. He likes RETRO GAMES (so uh. Crysis. Skyrim. EVE Online. GTA IV.) and would really rather have been studying the ADVENT OF INTERACTIVE MEDIA but that's not going to help expand Titan's economy any and prior to becoming a ship he was under a lot of pressure to do something with practical applications, since emigrating from Titan is a legal clusterfuck and most of the current jobs available are focused around making the moon more livable.
For the most part Adam is a fairly easygoing person. He gets intensely focused on subjects that interest him and tends to skate by with the bare minimum required of him in subjects that don't and is perfectly okay with that. His hobbies include making horrifying mods for popular games in the vein of this bullshit, reading terrible science fiction, and arguing with people about videogames.
Abilities & physical limitations: Adam's body is currently in stasis in the processing hull of a spaceship about fifty feet long. He cannot leave the stasis pod without an expert to extract him, but he has full control over the ship's functions both internal and external. This includes weapon systems, environmental controls, and a hologram projector that he's limited to using to project himself around the ship.

All consort-made structures are underground labs filled with supercomputers dedicated to monitoring the unfathomable maze of ice caves at the planet's core, where the forces of Armok guard his trove of ancient knowledge. The kobold consorts would go and find it themselves, but they're too busy making sure the horrors of the icy depths don't break out and murder everyone.
